The purpose of this independent research project is to explore recurring astrological patterns surrounding the transition into motherhood for the first time, through birth, adoption, or surrogacy.
You do not need to be an NCGR member to be a research volunteer. However, you must be an NCGR North Star member to be part of the astrological research as a research assistant.

What makes this research project worth pursuing?
"The topic of mothering and mothers in general are very important to me.
As someone who became a mother at a young age, I am always keenly aware of the physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, financial, and sociological impact of what it means to be a mother in the western world. Specifically within the United States.
I first started this research as a class project through the Oraculos School of Astrology founded by Mychal A. Bryan. We were tasked to find recurring astrological patterns in major life events. I chose the life event of the journey into motherhood. I noticed some very interesting patterns that I wanted to pursue even further.
As a staunch advocate for female rights and autonomy, my hope is that the findings of this research project would not only lead to the legitimization of the study of astrology as an industry but would aid in the efforts towards a more female and specifically mother-centered world.
The individuals responsible for bearing and rearing the next generation of humans are entitled to more respect, autonomy, and resources."
